Our interesting weekend

Well, for a start, yesterday saw the purchase of a N64 and pokemon stadium, a game I had wanted for ten years. I haven't yet had a go on it, I wanted to be able to enjoy playing and exploring it without zoe demanding her turn from the minute i start playing. So zoe and Malcolm played it (ha! i have got malcolm into pokemon hahaha) last night and i - what did i do? oh, i can't remember.
Anyway, today we went to the Ravensknowle Gala, which was really quite fun, we pushed Evie in the pushchair and I got two things that I loved - firstly I got two henna tattoos on my wrists, one saying EVIE and one and swirl handprint which I love; I wanted to get some Henna tattoos at Download but didn't see the stall until the last day when I had run out of money, lol, I have wanted them since then.
The second thing I got, which I lurrrrrve, is a giant inflatable pink ball (no jokes please) with polystyrene beans in that stick to the inside walls and look really groovy and give me endless entertainment. I saw people walking past with them but didn't know where they got them from... so I went on a mission, followed the trail of people with pink balls (again, no jokes please), and found the stall. I asked the guy to blow it up for me, which he did, and then went to automatically hand it to the child in the pushchair (Evie) before realising how small and new she was, then he paused, looked at me and said, "It's for you, isn't it?!" and I said, "Hell yeah, gimme!!!" LOL
It was a fun day. Evie got two soft toys, a piglet and a yellow hippo and a couple of gorgeous dresses from her grandma (as well as some soft shoes which go perfect with her (gift) pink dress and delicate cardigan which we are going to dress her in when we go to Julie's wedding in a couple of weeks.)
Hope you are all well

Stuff that!

I just missed my mouth and tipped my cup of tea down my dress. Oh, lovely. Why is eating and drinking being such a pain in the neck today???
elf xxx

arrrgh, tummy, arrrrgh!

Grrr, I've come to the conclusion that if I want to survive this world in the most pain-free kind of way, I shall exist on just water and cups of tea. I refuse to eat. Grrrr. One spoonful of custard has given me tummy cramps. Grrrrrr @ the cramps. Grrrr @ the custard. Grrr @ the rest of my meal which is sat forlornly getting cold in the oven. Gr Gr Grr.

The House and The Monica Monster

So then, folks and folklets, it so happens that for the next four or six weeks I am in sole charge of the house I share ownership of. And it so happens that, despite a non-existant budget, I have permission to do whatever the bloody hell I like with it. So for the first time since the flatlet (also when I had permission to do whatever I liked with it, being that I couldn't have made it worse!) Monica is going to get unleashed. Oh yes. She makes random occasional bids for freedom, snapping and snarling at the leash, wielding her weapon of choice (a tape measure) but I usually manage to rein her in (not without some damage though, sometimes a room will be a different colour or a cupboard stands half-built in the corner).
BUT NOW.
It's her time to come out and wreak havoc.
God knows what the house will look like when she's finished, even I don't know, and I created her.

Baby aged 21 weeks

Blimey! Yet again I get disturbed in my sleep and put on TV! Those cold hard scannery things were back with a vengeance, measuring every single different part of me - including my head, twice! I tried my best to hide and squirm away, but there isn't as much room as there used to be - my head was under mummys tummy button and I was practically sat on her bladder - well, it is nice and soft, do you blame me?! I was measured and prodded and poked and generally aggreivated for 30 minutes before they took pictures of me and left me alone! I made it difficult for them to take pictures, and they now have a lovely blurry one of me turning my back on the scannery thing! Yay! But, the conclusion is that I'm normal. :-( How could they say that - don't they know what my parents are like?! Hmph. I opened my mouth at them a couple of times on the scan too, pretending to be the fish they keep likening me to. Hahaha. Mummy and Daddy think I have mummys mouth... er, no I don't, I have mine!! It is here, right here, how could I have anyone elses? Bizarre. However, I did hear mummy say 'poor thing' when Daddy said that, so now I am worried... Love Baby x x x

Baby aged 20 weeks

I've got it - by jove, I've got it!! I'm fascinated by my surroundings, you see, and I discovered that if I push upwards very hard when mummy is eating or drinking, I can make her sick! Great news mummy, we can go on that diet I mentioned last week... no? Are you sure? Hmph, okay then, but don't forget YOU have to give birth to me! Talking of surroundings, just below me there's a nice soft squishy thing that seems to be full of water - it's very fun to kick, it makes a lovely gurgling noise. And if I squiggle round, there's this hard bony pillar with ridges and either side are more squishy playthings, but my favourite is definitely still the watery one.Mummy prodded me awake the other night and so I gave it a couple of annoyed kicks - I heard mummy say something and then my dad laughing so I might do that again someday :-) Love... baby x x x

Baby aged 19 weeks

Wow, I weigh 11 ounces! I've put on 6 oz in a week! Mummy, what ARE you eating?! We shall have to diet, I think. I'll have to start thinking about how I'm going to initiate that. Mummy knows I'm putting on weight, because she can feel it on her legs when she walks upstairs. She squishes me when she lies on her tummy and I wriggle like mad - but I think it might be deliberate! It's nice to kick Daddy's hand now, it's my new game. He can feel me, so once mummy shows him where I am, he puts his hand there and I have a whale of a time trying to kick it off! He doesn't seem to realise it's a game though, he thinks it's sweet and actually LIKES it! Grr, just wait until I'm biggerer and strongerer. My big sister Zoe thinks it's funny though, I heard her laughing when mummy and daddy told her about my new game. Love baby x x x

Baby aged 18 weeks

Crikey, I love moving about. It's sooooooo much fun!! I weigh about five ounces now, and I'm getting stronger all the time. I can't wait to be born and start learning to run and jump and climb trees - just think of what these stretchy, sturdy limbs of mine can do! Love Baby x x x

Baby aged 17 weeks

Now then, I'm enjoying exercising my brand new shiny limbs! How lovely to go swimming and spinning around in this lovely peaceful watery world, hearing mummys heart beating and daddy talking to me from The Big World outside. I'm getting heavier now and I'm sure mummy can feel me - she keeps prodding me anyway, and keeps getting me in the right spot! I much prefer testing my arms and legs when either mummy and daddy are in bed and trying to sleep, which is fun, or when mummy is in the bath. I like swimming! Yawny yawn, still growing, still sleepy... nightnight love baby x x x

Baby aged 16 weeks

Hello again everyone, I can hear you now!! Well, I think it's you noisy lot I can hear. Shh shh! I'm trying to concentrate on growing! I'm 14cm now and i have fingernails - hmm, scratchy. Well, mummy cured my cravings for prawney crisps in one fell swoop with SIX packets! Now, I'm enjoying this meat stuff mummy's started eating for my sake.I think she was a - a - a vegetable before. Is that right? Well, she must be, she ate enough of the vegetable salady stuff, she couldn't be made of anything else. My mummy is a vegetable! What does that make me then?? A baby carrot? A new potato? A petit pois??!! Daddy, save me!! By the way, I'm kicking and wriggling around inside mummy like mad, but I'm not sure if she can feel me or not... Love baby x x x

Baby aged 15 weeks

Hahaha, I'm now a big jumping bean according to Daddy! Mummy calls me a banana, I don't know why, I look nothing like a banana! I keep growing, it's a good thing I don't have clothes because I have grown a centimetre and a half since last week! Mummy is going to the doctors again tomorrow to see if I'm alright. Of course I'm alright! I hate it when they push those hard cold scannery things into me when I'm trying to sleep. I try wriggling away, but I can't get very far. Grr. Muuuuuum, I'm hungry, can I have some prawney crisps pleeeease? Love baby x x x

Diary of an unborn child

Diary of baby Kennedy-Ramage 14 weeks old I'm getting weighty now, and mum can feel me moving inside her when she turns over, I kind of sink to the other side of the womb and mum can feel that. She rubs her tummy and talks to me too, although I can't hear her yet. Not long to go! Next week, my ears will have formed enough for me to hear voices from The Big World Outside and I'm looking forwards to hearing my parents singing and talking to me. I keep wriggling, I love turning somersaults and I'm feeling quite mischeivous, in a few weeks mum will be able to feel me moving properly and then I might start learning Karate, just to keep her entertained at night, when she can't sleep. I don't like these spicy pasta foods mum keeps eating - yuck! I complain about it when she does that, but I like those prawney flavour crisps she eats sometimes, they are delicious, oh and the fruit and salad are all good too, I enjoy those. Oh dear, I need to sleep again, it's tiring me out learning how to swallow and suck my thumb. love baby x x x

MR BITS' DIARY Mr Bits's diary. Today, I was informed that I was due to have a little brother or sister! Well, I was tremendously excited and began running around headbutting things which is a fabulous way of excersing your pent up energy. After half an hour of headbutting things, I started to feel a bit woozy, so I snuggled up to the nearest person and asked endless questions... "when's it coming?; where will it sleep?; what will it look like?; can I play with it? can I lick it?" I have great difficulty getting myself understood in this household, but I was eventually informed that the baby would be born bald (wierd) and, get this! Would stay bald! Poor little thing, imagine being born with no fur! I shall have to stick to big brother duty and stop any other cats taking the Michael out of it. I was also told that he or she wouldn't be arriving for NINE MONTHS which of course filled me with impatientosity... why tell me if I can't play with it straight away??? Nine months is sooooooo long! I didn't manage to get an answer to the other questions I repeatedly asked, but I suspect that I will have to keep it licked clean, considering it is to be born fur-less. It must be a great hazard for the poor thing. And as for playing with it; that depends on how big it is when it's born! I mean, crikey, I didn't stay inside my mum for nine whole months; by the time nine months came around I was jumping around, falling off walls and sticking my nose into everything! Verrrry playful. As for where it is sleeping - here's a thought. My cat bed isn't really big enough for two. Mmmm... hope these people shell out for another one... much as I like the idea of a baby around, I don't particularly want to share my bedspace with it. *luxurious stretch* Love from Barclay x my diary Waaaaaahhh, evil women, taking away my baby brother or sister! miow *sob* Ah well, Meeeeeester Bits over and out Purrrr x
